HOW IT ALL STARTED!!
The revival of Silloth Tennis Club in the summer of 2001 was where it all started. After a lifelong love of all things Tennis and feeling as though i had not had the chance to be taught how to play the game properly and compete when i was young i, along with good friend Gareth Lewis set up the "Silloth Tennis League" which was basically a few organised matches on the sea front courts.
After meeting with the wonderfully influential David Pigeon, who was the chairman of the dormant Silloth Tennis Club it was agreed that we should join forces to get things going again. With Gareth concentrating on the adult side of things i decided to give David a hand with his Saturday morning junior coaching sessions and with my daughter Emily showing good hand/eye abilities i started adding extra sessions to the programme.

How things have moved on from those early days! I am now L.T.A. qualified and am Community coach for Allerdale working out of Netherhall Sports College and in the many schools in the area establishing links with and working in local clubs such as Maryport and Workington Ashfield trying to give children the chances that i never had.
Now, with Tennis becoming more popular in West Cumbria i felt it was time to rebrand Tenniswise with the new website and a brand new set of logos which were designed by the excellent Bryan Crisp, who can be contacted at make_my_logo@hotmail.com. Thus giving a point of contact and information as we move ahead.
